What if time was not time - not event upon event?
What if sequence is illusion - and illusion is bent?
What if now is then and then is now?
What if I am, and was, is the same somehow?
What if we just dream the now?
What if everything is nothing, or an endless Tao?
I have a world in my head
Full of love and dread
It seizes the day
But I stay in my bed
My world and yours
We agree by default
A manifold illusion
In our great gestalt
What if past, now and then were one?
What if all was simply the kingdom come?
What if we, in this life confined
Were truly immortal, love divine?

Stranger to me
I am a stranger
I have walked so far that I...
Am a stranger
The years are still there
Still clear, mostly, as best I can tell
I can still feel them anyway
Like little scenes from a long movie
Playing over, out of sequence
So many of them
But it's all there is
The moments playing only on my screen
And suddenly I find myself
Here...
A stranger, in this moment
All I have left is now
And the only choice is
As if I had a choice
To let the scenes wash over me
And merge into pools of a life lived
Here I am
A stranger in my own life
I've never been me before
But still I'm here
This collection of fragmented thoughts
That stagger in and out of life
I have walked so far that I...
Am a stranger
The years are still there
Still clear, mostly, as best I can tell
I can still feel them anyway
Like little scenes from a long movie
Playing over, out of sequence
So many of them
But it's all there is
The moments playing only on my screen
And suddenly I find myself
Here...
A stranger, in this moment
All I have left is now
And the only choice is
As if I had a choice
To let the scenes wash over me
And merge into pools of a life lived
Here I am
A stranger in my own life
I've never been me before
But still I'm here
This collection of fragmented thoughts
That stagger in and out of life

Substance of God
I am, not will or was
I am, not part thereof
I am, not bought or sold
I am, not young or old
I am, not male or femme
I am, nothing to condemn
I am, and will not be judged
I am, living loved
I am, not sin redeemed
I am, not life undreamed
I am, enough, complete
I am, a bit rough, but sweet
I am, part of the whole
I am, on no church roll
I am, substance of God
I am, a lightning rod
I am, you
I am, us
I am...
I am, not part thereof
I am, not bought or sold
I am, not young or old
I am, not male or femme
I am, nothing to condemn
I am, and will not be judged
I am, living loved
I am, not sin redeemed
I am, not life undreamed
I am, enough, complete
I am, a bit rough, but sweet
I am, part of the whole
I am, on no church roll
I am, substance of God
I am, a lightning rod
I am, you
I am, us
I am...
Sea of Sadness
The sea of sadness hosts no storms
It dampens the angry clouds of lightning
It unravels twisting water spouts
Languid waves lap it's shores
It dampens the angry clouds of lightning
It unravels twisting water spouts
Languid waves lap it's shores
Mists drift in and out dripping soft tears
Silver light shines in poignant beauty
The sea of sadness holds hearts that have too much to bare
It's sparkling silver arms of comfort
Wrap warm and deep pains in stillness
Truths that can never be spoken
Love that can never be revealed
It's sparkling silver arms of comfort
Wrap warm and deep pains in stillness
Truths that can never be spoken
Love that can never be revealed
The sea of sadness is wide and deep
It welcomes the weary with gentle caress
It promises nothing but a moment of eternity
And the glimpse of a distant beacon
It welcomes the weary with gentle caress
It promises nothing but a moment of eternity
And the glimpse of a distant beacon
